In their attempts to explain the upheaval, most of those weighing in have primarily focused on the internal dynamics – the domestic political terrain, the east/west ethnic divides, some inchoate desire to join the EU and “the West,” the influence of organized fascists, and the corrupt and oligarchical nature of the ousted leader.
