The South Bay Organizing Committee of the Bay Area Socialist met for their first strategy meeting March 8th. The Committee considered political issues around which they could develop a plan of action. The proposals presented included support for a ballot measure to raise the min. wage and another which would prohibit corporations from being viewed as “persons” in the law. These measures will be further evaluated by the Committee. The Committee also unanimously agreed to hold monthly meetings on the first Saturday of the month. The next meeting of the Committee will occur on April 5th. For information leave a message on the Bay Area Socialist Facebook Page.
